Summary:

The Collateral Manager will be responsible for the daily and strategic management of collateral pledged under the company’s borrowing base facilities. This includes monitoring eligible assets, optimizing collateral allocation, ensuring compliance with facility terms, and serving as the key liaison between internal teams, lenders, and collateral agents. The role is central to maximizing available liquidity while maintaining robust controls and accurate reporting for secured financing structures in the metals commodities sector.

 

Responsibilities: 

·         Monitor daily collateral positions against borrowing base facility requirements.

·         Validate asset eligibility in line with credit agreements (including product type, location, and quality specifications).

·         Coordinate the timely pledge and release of physical and financial collateral.

·         Track in-transit and warehouse inventory for eligibility and valuation purposes.

·         Maintain accurate collateral schedules for lenders and administrative agents.

·         Prepare and submit, weekly, and monthly borrowing base reports to lenders and collateral agents.

·         Reconcile collateral values against market prices, credit agreements, and internal inventory systems.

·         Ensure compliance with facility covenants, eligibility criteria, and concentration limits.

·         Act as point of contact for lender queries, audits, and collateral inspections

·         Coordinate with accounting for reconciliation of pledged assets to the general ledger.

·         Coordinate with trading, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely collateral movements.

·         Prepare and reconcile daily collateral and margin reports for internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

·         Maintain records to support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting.

·         Lead collateral-related process improvements / enhancement

·         Facilitates the movement and disbursement of title documents such as bills of lading

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field 

3+ years relevant or equivalent experience 

Should be detail oriented, focused with attention to accuracy and be a responsible team worker

Ability to handle multiple tasks and take on additional responsibilities as they become more skilled/knowledgeable in primary responsibilities necessary
Understanding of commodity trade flows, shipping, and logistics in metals markets is an advantage.
