Position Summary:

This is hands-on position is responsible for managing Global IT Infrastructure Services. Under the general direction of the Global Head of MIS, the objective of this role is to implement, maintain, and support a cost-effective, state-of-the-art data and telecommunications infrastructure and collaborate with users and other departments to deliver quality processes, controls, and system support to the firm. This requires hands-on, strong business and technical knowledge, an understanding of various platforms, and the current and future state of the company and the IT industry in general.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and end-to-end engineering and operational processes across IT.
  • Provide leadership and being accountable for defining or improving methods for configuration management, incident management, problem management, change management, release management, service level management, availability management, and IT service continuity management.
  • Manage the budget, planning resource utilization, and play an active role in planning the technical direction of the IT infrastructure.
  • Identify gaps in methodologies to provide continuous improvement and redundancy within the IT department.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Required Education, Experience, Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, high degree of Cloud infrastructure, voice and data networking, systems operations, servers, storage, client computing, and production control groups.
  • Keen sense of finding and implementing new technologies.
  • Experience having managed a technical operation supporting both transactional and decision-support computing resources for a large organization.
  • Demonstrated management experience of 10+ people, including team leaders and individual contributors across multiple global locations.
  • Provide overall recruitment, development, and performance management for individuals within the technology department.
  • Experience managing many vendors’ relationships.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills are required, as well as experience making decisions and recommendations on hardware purchases based upon judgments of necessity and cost, striving to increase the quality of services while decreasing the cost of delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships with others in a global environment, a demonstrated customer focus, teamwork skills, and a willingness to share technical and business knowledge with team members.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to resolve conflict, effectively problem solve, make appropriate decisions, and communicate orally and in written form effectively.
  • Ability to mesh well with existing senior management by being a good listener, team builder, and advocate of the IT vision.
  • Works with senior management to establish strategic direction operating policies and to aid in major project planning.
  • A demonstrated ability to implement processes and standards and effectively communicate those across the organization.
  • Desired characteristics: directive leadership style, comfortable directing and delegating, working independently with little supervision, presenting ideas to groups, adjusting to changing conditions, self-discipline and conscientiousness to meet responsibilities, setting goals and providing direction, fostering and motivating cooperation, and strong work desire amongst subordinates and peers.
  • Ability to travel to other offices.
  • Ability to work in office Monday through Friday.
