Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves supporting preparation of financial statements, managing ledgers, and collaborating with internal teams to support financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management:

·         Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, A/R, A/P, Fixed assets, prepayments etc.

·         Ensure proper recording of financial transactions and adjustments as part of the month-end close process.

·         Monitor and resolve discrepancies in ledger entries including consolidation and eliminations.

·         Run balance sheet FX revaluation (manual as well as automated) for the global Group.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

·         Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

·         Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

·         Prepare analysis of balance sheet and SG&A movements across comparable periods by business unit

·         Support the budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis.

Compliance and Controls:

·         Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

·         Assist with external audits.

·         Prepare, organize, and improve support required for tax compliance to the Tax department

·         Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets

Team Leadership:

·         Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

·         Provide training and support to ensure accurate and efficient work.

·         Coordinate with other departments to address financial issues.

System and Process Improvement:

·         Participate in the development and implementation of accounting systems and processes.

·         Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

Other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,

·         Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting.

·         Good understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Excel.

·         Ability to work in office 5 days a week
